When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Artist's Comments
Finally did a bit of upgrading to this one.
- The sun is now a more noticeable source of illumination (if anyone knows how to clean up the "lines" left by the light source, let me know). - The star glow is cleaned up and less blotchy. - The space dust is closer in colour to the stars and more apparent. Just a simple update of one of my more popular spacescapes, and the one I'm really most happy with. All work done in Photoshop 7. Updated to a medly of tunes, including (but not limited to): Noel Sanger - Falling Through (Dub Mix) Piece Process - Solar Myth (Shultz Mix) Mohawk - Outer Limits (Trafik Mix) Starkid (R.I.P.) - Crayons (Scribblin' Mix) Ian Pooley - Samo Iluzjia (Ian Pooley Mix) Mavi - Tribute to M&M's (Subsky Mix) Hope you all enjoy the update, and if at all possible, leave a harsh critique on things I need to improve. Commentshey, this is great, i love it. I've been working on creating planets in PS7 for a while now, but get stumped at creating the starfield. Being a scifi junkie I'd love to be producing my own spacescapes like this
I'm currently attepting a science-accurate spacescape but including the magnetic field effect of the planet creating a bow-shock with the solar wind, hopefully I'll be posting it soon (once i've sorted out this pesky starfield!Any tips on how you did yours?) Good stuff Greg Martin (~sirgerg) used to have a great tutorial up here on dA - it's since been taken down, but I believe his website (listed on his page) still has a link to it.
-- Dusted. I managed to find an inspirational dialogue about stars and planets, but nothing on how to create them (he has an excellent website, very impressed). I replicated a Hubble deep-sky pic for one of my pieces, but it looked a little out of place. If you're putting a tutorial together I'd be excited to have a look, but don't go out of your way for my project
