Well, time to update the old journal with a few things you may or may not care about:

A new World of Warcraft expansion, Starcraft II well on the way, and now Diablo III? It's a mighty fine time to be a gamer if you ask me. And Blizzard recently announced that they would be partners with ATI (including ATI's Havok-based physics engine), so it wouldn't be a bad time to think about an upgrade (not that I already wasn't).

I never got into Diablo II, but I've beaten the first one ages ago. I still have the thing somewhere.

I'm really excited for Starcraft II. :excited:

I might pick up WOW again with the new expansion, but probably not...it was too much of a timesink. (I was smart about it though, I never bothered getting the tiered sets because they're just going to be obsolete again anyway...heh heh)

I liked the first one better myself, there were only a few things I liked better in Diablo II. Hopefully Diablo III captures the essence of Diablo I with all the necessary updates to make this game look and play great versus modern games.

Managing the biggest MMO in the world, designing an expansion for it, and developing two of the most highly-anticipated sequels this century are a pretty hefty challenge even for the major studio that Blizzard has become. I'm just hoping they're not going to cut corners anywhere. Not that they have in the past, but I'd be disappointed if they started now.
